New Series: Petey From the Streets!

We are starting a new series called “Petey from the Streets” which will be a mainstay of the Firebird Focus newsletter’s for the next couple weeks! This series comes courtesy of our owner, Wade Harris! Without further ado, here is episode 1🐦‍🔥 🔥

Episode 1: “The Dream Begins”

Scene: Raleigh Firebirds practice field. Petey is decked out in his Firebirds uniform, complete with goggles, tube socks, Chuck Taylors, headband, and wristbands. He's doing warm-up stretches.

Petey (to the camera):
"Hey, Firebirds fans! It’s Petey from the Streets! Ever since I could remember, I’ve dreamed of playing for the Firebirds. Today is the day I kick my training into high gear! I'm ready to get whipped into shape for my big debut!"

(Enter Wade Harris, the Market Owner, with a whistle around his neck and a clipboard.)

Wade: "Petey! You can’t just stretch and call it a day. We’ve got work to do! You want to play on this team, you need REAL training!"

Petey: "I’m ready, Wade! Let’s show Wake County how it’s done! What’s next?"

Wade: "First up, we’re hitting the weights. Let’s see if you can lift as much as you talk!”

Frederick Flying Cows Roast Tomorrow!

Reminder that we will be hosting a light-hearted roast of the Frederick Flying Cows in light of Cow appreciation day being tomorrow, July 8th.

The event would incorporate humor, playful banter, and a sense of friendly rivalry. Event Highlights:
