Regular Season South Atlantic Division Champions 💪🏽

What an incredible season it has been for the Firebirds! 🎉 With unparalleled determination and teamwork, the Firebirds have clinched the South Atlantic Division regular season championship, earning their rightful place at the top of the standings and securing a coveted bye for the first round of the 2025 TBL Playoffs!

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and resilience that our players have showcased throughout the season. From high-flying dunks to nail-biting defensive plays, the Firebirds have consistently demonstrated their skill and unity on the court. Every player has contributed to this remarkable journey, and the coaching staff deserves immense credit for guiding them to this historic moment.

Mark your calendars, Firebirds fans! The excitement continues as we gear up for the second round of the playoffs. Join us on Thursday, May 29th, at 7 PM at Saint Augustine’s University as our Firebirds battle it out for a chance to progress further in the playoffs. New Content Coming Out Soon 🔥

We have two exciting new ways you can catch the latest Raleigh Firebirds content! The first is our podcast, The Raleigh Firebirds Show. While it’s been inactive for a while now, Petey Dorris and I just recorded a new episode, which will be out tomorrow or Friday. Make sure to check Spotify for the show, or go to this link.

The second is that the Firebirds now have a TikTok account! You can catch some great Firebirds content on that platform, at @the.raleigh.firebirds. Our awesome high school interns run the account, who will make you laugh and show you behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. If you’re on TikTok, I highly recommend following!

Matchup Against the Frederick Flying Cows 🐄

On Friday, the Raleigh Firebirds will travel to Virginia to take on the Flying Cows. Maybe flying cows sounds intimidating to you, or cute; whatever the case, don’t let it psyche you out. The Flying Cows are home to a 19-3 record, one of the TBL's best records and win percentages. Of course, the Firebirds are no scrubs with our 17-3 record. This showdown between the best teams from the South Atlantic and Mid-Atlantic Divisions should be incredible to watch and a great taste of the playoffs to come.

The Firebirds do seem to have momentum on their side coming into this game. We’ve won our last 10 games, whereas all three of Frederick’s losses have come within their previous five games. Still, they are not to be taken lightly under any circumstances, especially with the great home-court advantage they have.
