What Would You Tell Your Younger Self? (Ep. 2)

Today’s Guest: Shaq Dance

We asked some our players the following:

“What would you tell your younger self today? What if you could take him under your wings today?”

When asking this question to Shaq Dance, he had this to say:

“I’d tell him to get in the weight room lol and invest in myself more, basketball wise and business wise.“

Wise words from one of our most explosive scorers who works hard on and off the court. My key takeaway from Shaq’s quote is that self-investment is the key to long term success. 💪 🏀 

Petey from the Streets: Fired up w/ the Firebirds

Episode 5: “Game Day Spirit”

Scene: Firebirds arena, during the pre-game show. Petey stands on the court, sweat-drenched but fired up, as the crowd cheers.

Petey: "This is it, folks! Look at all the support from Wake County! I’m ready to bring my A-game today. Who needs a huddle when we have a whole community!"

(Wade walks over with the players, all wearing their uniforms with smiles.)

Wade: "If it weren’t for Petey, we wouldn’t have this much fun during our training! Remember, Firebirds fans, fitness is about joy, community, and some good old-fashioned sweat!"

Firebirds Player 2: "Let’s show them how it’s done! Team on three!"

All Together: "1, 2, 3… FIREBIRDS!"

(Petey mimics the players, pumping his fists.)

Petey: "Let’s GO, Firebirds! This journey wouldn’t be possible without YOU, Wake County! Together, we rise!"
