Tomorrow's the Big Day!

Happy Firebirds Friday! As you probably know from how much I’ve been talking about it over the past few weeks, tomorrow is the Firebirds meet and greet. It’s the unofficial kickoff to the season and we can’t wait to see everyone there! Today, I’ll be talking a little about what’s going to happen Saturday evening and another cool thing the Firebirds are doing right now.

As I’ve mentioned before (and as the flyer does above), the meet and greet will be from 6-8 PM at 5915 Oak Forest Rd, just across the street from the Buffalo Rd bowling alley.

The event is designed to introduce front-office members and players to the Firebirds' fans and partners. It’s often difficult to know who’s who when attending games or events. This is especially important on the court when the players are flying up and down at incredible speeds. Saturday evening allows you to get to know all the players and staff members in an intimate atmosphere and learn more about them as people.

Speaking of getting to know the Firebirds better…

Firebirds management is hosting a panel tomorrow at Wendell Middle School. The event will allow middle schoolers interested in a sports management/operations career to ask questions from professionals in the industry, and learn more about future career paths. It’s going to be awesome, and I can’t wait to tell you about how it went on Monday.
