Offseason with Donté Greene

Donte Green is putting in that offseason work, getting better one day at a time. đź’Ş
Donte is no stranger to high-level hoops. He was a 2007 McDonald’s All-American and Maryland’s 2007 Gatorade player of the year. After his dominant tenure in high school, he went on to play his college ball at the University of Syracuse. It only took one year of college play for Donte to declare for the NBA draft and find himself selected in the 1st round by the Memphis Grizzlies. He was then traded to the Sacramento Kings before his rookie season began, where he found a home in the NBA for 4 seasons. Donte then went on to play overseas all over the world, playing for teams in China, Puerto Rico, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and the Dominican Republic.
He’s has an impressive and loaded basketball resume, making him a vital part of the Firebird’s soaring 2025 season and upcoming 2026 season!

What Would You Tell Your Younger Self (ep.6)

Today’s Guest: Donté Greene
We asked some our players the following:
“What would you tell your younger self today? What if you could take him under your wings today?”
When asking this question to Donté Greene, he had this to say:
“Never be satisfied. Always grind and take nothing for granted. Trust NO ONE!“
Great message from Donté. My main takeaways from his answer are to not take anything for granted and to never stop the grind. The moment we are satisfied is the moment we fall behind the competition, continue the pursuit of perfection to be the best version of yourself. Thank you for the wise words, Donté! 💯 💪
