Introducing Red Bull Wing's for Life Race

Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m here to tell you about a community initiative the Firebirds are taking part in, and how you can get involved!

The Firebirds are participating in the Red Bull Wing’s for Life race on Sunday, May 5th. The team is working closely with Red Bull to raise awareness of spinal cord injuries and continue to fight for cures. On the morning of May 5th, the Firebirds players and fans will join forces with Deondrea Branch and Red Bull in the Wings for Life race at 7 AM. Deondrea is our poster boy for this event, as he has a spinal cord injury and is confined to a wheelchair.

Working with Red Bull, the Firebirds will continue to raise awareness for spinal cord injuries and fight for cures. Firebirds players will compete in the Wings for Life race on the track at St. Augustine’s University, and you as the fans are invited to join us! If you can’t make it out to the St. Augustine’s track, fear not: this event can also be completed virtually.

Later in the day, the Firebirds will play their Friends and Family game at 3 PM. Our opponent is the Virginia Valley Vipers, the first and only time we play them at home this season! It’s going to be a great game that you don’t want to miss, so make sure to get your tickets here before they sell out!
