Community Spotlight: Ainsley Worrell

The Raleigh Firebirds had a great meeting with City of Raleigh Health and Wellness Program Director Ainsley Worrell.

Ainsley Worrell has a strong background in health and wellness program management. Ainsley served as the Health and Wellness Program Director for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, where they oversaw the strategic planning and implementation of the program on a city-wide level. Ainsley collaborated with public health service providers, government agencies, educational institutions, and community stakeholders to serve resource-limited communities. Ainsley also acted as the lead liaison for local, regional, and federal health initiatives.

Prior to that, Ainsley worked as the Assistant Director for Wellness Promotion at East Carolina University. In this role, they coordinated and organized outreach initiatives to promote holistic health, wellbeing, and prevention topics across the campus. Ainsley also led the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Peer Health Education Program and other outreach efforts.

The Firebirds are excited about what a partnership with Raleigh Parks and Recreation can offer to the community!

The Raleigh Firebirds Professional Men’s Basketball Team is teaming up with the Southeast Raleigh YMCA for an unforgettable day of hoops, fun, and community connection!

• FREE basketball camp for youth

• 1v1 tournament for all skill levels

• Meet & greet with Firebirds players
