Happy Firebirds Friday! Today, I’ll tell you about some cool stuff coming up for the Firebirds, both longer term and this weekend! Let’s dive right in:

Janet Cowell on the Raleigh Firebirds:

As you may remember from Monday, the Firebirds got to meet Janet Cowell recently, the mayor-elect of Raleigh. The video below is from our time with her, where Cowell speaks on the importance of the Firebirds and professional sports franchises in Raleigh. It’s a really interesting watch:

TBL Combine this Weekend

The TBL is coming to Raleigh this weekend! The league is hosting a series of combines in various cities, where players from all across the country showcase their talents to secure training camp spots and roster spots with teams. Different cities take turns hosting these combines; this weekend, it’s our turn! Tomorrow, the Firebirds will host the TBL’s combine at St. Augustine’s University, from 10 AM-1 PM. There will be a lot of good players in attendance, so buckle up!
