Happy Firebirds Friday!

Happy Firebirds Friday! Today, I get to be the bearer of good news, so let’s dive right in:

Our road trip is finally over, and our next game (tomorrow) is at home! Last night, the Firebirds were in Jacksonville to take on the 95ers, the second-best team in the Southeastern Division. Unfortunately for them, it wasn’t close; the final score was 109-90. Daequon Antoine was in pristine form, leading the Firebirds with 32 points.

For those keeping track at home, that means the Firebirds are now 8-1, good for the second-best record in the entire TBL.

We have good news off the court too, however. We have just officially landed a new sponsor for the remainder of the 2024 season, and that sponsor is Duke Raleigh Hospital! We’re really excited to be working with them; here’s the press release for those who are interested:

As I mentioned earlier this week, the Firebirds are moving to St. Augustine’s University for their home games. It’s a much larger and better venue than Word of God. So…
