Happy Firebirds Friday!

Happy Firebirds Friday! Today, I’m here not to talk about a guest on the Sports Shop Radio Show (though you should still totally tune in), but rather, to talk about an exciting new project with the Firebirds that will take place throughout the 2024 season.

For this upcoming season, the Firebirds will be having a documentary made about them! The documentary will focus on the team’s journey to winning The Lillie in 2024 and the community-oriented focus of the team. There will be behind-the-scenes footage, pictures/video footage of the team going to local events in the community, and so much more!

The documentary will likely be released at the end of the 2024 season. It’s being made by a college student at UNC-Chapel Hill, Ashlyn Rhyne! She’s super talented at what she does, and you can see some of her photography here. This is going to be an exciting journey for both her and the Firebirds’ organization, and we’re ready for whatever this year has in store for us.
