An Exciting Announcement About Our Latest Initiative

Happy Firebirds Friday! Today, I have a super exciting announcement regarding a new Firebirds initiative: The Raleigh Firebirds x IV Greatness Basketball Academy applications are now open! Let me break it down:

As you may know by now, the Firebirds are dedicated to giving back to the community, always and forever. It’s how we’re able to do what we do and give back to those who support us. Two things that the Firebirds stand for in particular are STEM Education and helping Wake County Youth. The Raleigh Firebirds Basketball Academy will give young basketball players a chance to improve their skills and receive mentorship for an entire year.

This program is so much more than skills development, however. It’s a mentorship program that’s designed to set these students up for life success, not just a successful basketball career. While other basketball training might end once a workout or training session is over, Firebirds’ mentorship is 24/7. It’s more than just basketball too; these kids will receive tutoring from Wake County educators, as well as SAT/ACT prep or any other kind of help they may need. They’ll also have the opportunity to visit colleges, to see where their future may lie.

The Academy officially kicked off last Saturday, and it’s been going great so far. However, it’s not too late for you to join in on the action.
