Discussing our Health Awareness Game
Happy Firebirds Friday! It may be December right now, but today, I’m here to talk about our Health Awareness Game in March, and how the Firebirds are using their platform to inspire change for good.
One of the Firebirds’ health initiatives is mental health. Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in America every year since 1949. During May, the Firebirds join the national movement to raise awareness about mental health, fight the stigma around mental health, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for policies that support millions of people in the U.S. affected by mental illness.
Our other initiatives include Heart Health, Autism Awareness, Cancer Research, MS Society, and more! At our Health Awareness Game on March 8th, the medical companies we partner with set up tables, explain what they’re doing one each of their various health initiatives, and talk during halftime about health issues that affect us all.
Our Health Awareness Game is the second game of the season, and it tips off at 7 PM at Word of God Christian Academy! To make sure you secure tickets, buy them here.
I’ll be back in your inbox on Monday.
