Happy Monday Firebirds Fam! The Firebirds are announcing some exciting hoops opportunities in the community, as well as conducting a fan survey and giving initial details on a light-hearted rivalry roast event we will be hosting. I’m here today to talk a little bit more about that. Let’s jump right in!

Raleigh PD X Firebirds Friday Night Hoops
Hey Firebird Fans! The Firebirds were out in the community on Wednesday at the Southeast Raleigh YMCA running their weekly camp! In addition to our weekly Wednesday camp, we'll also be starting a weekly tour every Friday with the Raleigh Police Department!
📍 Every Friday night from 7–9 PM, the Firebirds and RPD will team up at five different community centers across the city, using basketball to build positive relationships, create safe spaces, and encourage youth empowerment.
This partnership between the Raleigh Firebirds and the Raleigh Police Department is more than just a series of basketball events, it’s an opportunity to bring the Raleigh community together in meaningful ways.

Upcoming: Frederick Flying Cows Roast!
The Raleigh Firebirds will host a light-hearted roast-style event dedicated to poking fun at the Frederick Flying Cows while celebrating Cow Appreciation Day.
📆 📌 Mark your Calendars: Tuesday, July 8th
The event would incorporate humor, playful banter, and a sense of friendly rivalry. Event Highlights:
1. “Fowl” Comedy Show: Local comedians take center stage to deliver cow puns, flying gags, and sports-themed roasts that are udderly hilarious.
2. “Moo-sical” Roast Battle: Karaoke meets comedy as fans parody hits like “I Believe I Can Fly” (and more)… with a cow-tastic twist. 🐄🎤
3. Flying Cow Trivia: A trivia game where questions include funny facts and humorous myths about the Frederick Flying Cows.
4. “Udderly Ridiculous” Merchandise: Playful, limited edition merchandise for the event poking fun at the Frederick Flying Cows
5. “Wind in the Ears” Cow Contest: Invite fans to submit their own jokes about the Frederick Flying Cows in a humorous competition, with winning jokes featured on the scoreboard, where fans can react and cheer (or groan).
6. Cow Appreciation Award: Honor a cow-themed “Hero of the Day” – a fan who dresses in the most ridiculous spin on being a cow, flying or not, with a comedic trophy and a shoutout during the game.
7. Post-Game Laugh Fest: The night ends with a comedy closer featuring top local stand-up talent reflecting on their experiences with cows and the event, filled with friendly rivalry and hilarity.

This event will not only showcase the Firebirds’ sense of humor but also foster camaraderie amongst fans while embracing a playful rivalry with the Frederick Flying Cows! Whether you're a die-hard Firebirds fan or just in it for the beef, this event is sure to bring roars of laughter and community spirit.
