An Upcoming Community Event, and Breaking Down our STEM Education Day Game

Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m going to talk about our STEM Education Day, as well as some other cool stuff going on in the community. Let’s jump right in:

You're Invited!

Join us for the Raleigh Firebirds Professional Men's Basketball Team's Community STEM/Health Fair!

Get ready for a day of fun, learning, and community engagement! We're excited to partner with Triangle Family Services, Wake County Smart Start, NAMI, Duke Health, Humana, Pivot Physical Therapy, Cisco, Navy Federal Credit Union, and many other organizations dedicated to promoting health and STEM education.

When: Saturday, February 15th 

Time: 11 AM - 2 PM 

Where: Marsh Creek Community Center (3050 N New Hope Rd, Raleigh, NC)

This event is designed for both seniors and youth, providing a fantastic opportunity to explore innovative STEM activities, learn about health and wellness, and connect with local resources. Don't miss out on engaging workshops, interactive exhibits, and valuable information from our partner organizations!

All the Details About Our Stem Education Day Game

We’ve had a bunch of questions recently about our STEM Education Day, so I wanted to clear up some of those questions here.

When? Thursday, March 27th

What’s the point of this game theme?

The purpose of our STEM Education Day Game is to connect students in the Wake County Public School System with our STEM partners. All of our amazing STEM/business partners will be in attendance, including a special appearance from NC State! There’s going to be a great halftime activity with NC State and the students in attendance, as well as other engaging activities in between quarters and during timeouts.

The superintendent from WCPSS is inviting Wake County students to watch the game free of charge, and we’re going to make sure to deliver an exceptional game! Stay tuned for even more details to come.

A Fun Announcement!

We got our old Instagram back!

As you may or may not know, we lost access to our old Instagram account (@raleighfirebirds) many months ago. As a result, we created a new Instagram page (@raleighfirebirdz), which has been doing super well! It looked like the Firebirds’ online presence would continue only on that page, as our original page was lost to oblivion…but then magic struck!

We have access to both Instagram accounts now! We’ll be making some changes coming soon to deliver you the best content imaginable, so stay tuned! If you’re not following both of our Instagram pages, get on that ASAP!
